Starling is a competitive women’s club Ultimate Frisbee team in the Western Massachusetts/Connecticut area. Founded in 2022, the team name was influenced by the impressive murmurations achieved by the birds. Often seen flocking together, these birds have learned that we are always stronger together than alone. I was tasked with designing the team’s jerseys and by extension, team brand and presence.

Combining birds in flight and stars at night, I hoped to communicate the team values of individuals working together toward a common goal, and of course, “look good, play good.”
